Affordable Housing is key
Attaining and keeping stable affordable housing is a foundation of poverty prevention and economic mobility.
As a tenant, you have many rights, and it's important to know them. On March 12, 2026, Undo Poverty: Flushing hosted a Tenants' Rights and Housing Resources Workshop training about 30 persons on their housing rights and housing assistance resources.

Know Your housing rights
CPC and Undo Poverty: Flushing Community Advisory Group presented a workshop about housing rights. Those rights include the right to representation in eviction court, right to succeed, the right to repairs and services, right to heat, and more. Housing Resources
There is help assistance to help you find affordable housing or to keep you in your apartment or home. New York City has several programs available from rental assistance to the affordable housing lottery.
